Chandana (White Sandalwood) is highly regarded in the ancient Indian Vedic texts. The wood from this small tree is considered to be sacred and is even used in sacred ceremonies to purify holy places. Chandana was traditionally used in India to treat skin diseases, acne, and a number of other conditions. Chandana is an antibacterial, antiseptic, astringent, and disinfectant.
